Who the heck is this guy, anyway? Here’s a splash of bragging:

Throughout my career I sought experience in all forms of photography: Still, Cinematography, and Digital .  Also still and newsreel/television journalism, commercial still photography, television commercial photography/direction, motion picture production, animation and digital systems design.

My still photography has been published by The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, United Press, Associated Press, Sports Illustrated, Life magazine and countless national publications. My news, feature and documentary films received recognition in the form of numerous Associated Press Awards and the Sigma Delta Chi ‘Green Eyeshade’ Award.  Also I was a Cinematographer of credit on a National ‘Emmy’ Award winning documentary film for the CBS Television Network.

The hundreds of television commercials produced earned numerous awards including the national ‘Clio’ award for television commercials. In the midst of maintaining film making activities, I invented the Cinetron Computer Animation System. This patented system gained international acceptance and acclaim and is in use worldwide by major production studios to produce titling, commercial and feature animation, optical and other visual effects. The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences awarded me and my partner Gene Nottingham the ‘Academy Award’ for Technical Achievement’ and Eastman Kodak awarded us the The Eastman Kodak Company Technical Achievement Award.

That’s enough blowing my own horn. I’m retired now and this website is just intended to be informative and enjoyable.

I want to be sure that you realize that there were many, many people who helped and counseled me through the years especially my three Cinetron partners and friends: Gene Nottingham, Don Hudgins and Hal Pearson. I hope there is something here for you.  Thanks to all the employees, customers , partners and friends and especially my family who made my life and career what it was.  Charlie
